Eyeshield 21 Manga

This is one of the reason why I haven't been updating the site lately. I did a marathon of the Eyeshield 21 manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Yusuke Murata.

Eyeshield 21 is a sports manga that centers around Kobayakawa Sena, a high school student who has been a gopher for most of his school life. All of this changed when he was dragged by the devil Hiruma Yoichi to play football.

There are a lot of characters in Eyeshield 21. Each of the Devil Bats players have different personalities so there is a lot of interaction between them. Sena is your typical shy student that is blessed with golden legs, Kurita is a big gentle giant, Musashi is a high schooler that looks like an old man, Raimon provides the comedic air and looks like a monkey, and finally Hiruma, the devil in disguise that acts as the brain of the Devil Bats.

I am a sucker for rags to riches type of story that's why I instantly got hooked to this manga. It has a very typical story but what I liked is that there is no "enemy" here. Each player and team have their own good reasons to play the game but of course only one team can be at the top. There are numerous cliff hangers thanks to the Devil Bats who are always in a pinch. This tends to be a bit repetitive though on each team that they face and it did get a bit boring by the end of the Oujo White Knights saga. But it was already at the end of the manga so it's ok I guess.

    hope theres a lil contination where devil bats fight each other,i mean hiruma against sena? :D
