About Generation Otaku

Blast from the Past

Years and years ago, anime and manga was something that only nerds would know (outside Japan that is). With the surging popularity of the internet people have found different ways to promote anime to a larger audience. Daemon and Yakumo decided to create a website that would bring anime and manga to the nook and crannies of the internet. They eventually settled for the name Chosen Anime. It was a site to discuss anime that the owners have personally chosen. CA was not popular but it did reach a few people with similar interests so it was all good.

Fast Forward to the Present

With anime and manga already being fairly popular to a lot of people, Daemon decided to expand interests that covers news about Japan, otakus, video games, gravure idols, and even hentai. The website was renamed to Generation Otaku (GO) to reflect these changes. Now GO is officially five years old, Yakumo have partially retired but we gained moderators, staff members and friends along the way. There will always be good and bad changes but Daemon would still like to invite you to discuss things about Japan, idols, anime and manga, and most importantly to make friends and have fun.

About Daemon and his Workhorse

Daemon is someone who can be called a ” poor, silent nerd” simply because he does not have the resources to sustain his hobby. Although born in the US, he grew up in the Philippines and graduated at the University of the Philippines Los BaƱos. He currently works as an analyst for a university and gets paid a minimum wage. He currently sees life as a bitch that constantly interferes with his plan for world domination.

Aside from watching anime and reading manga, Daemon also collects figures and Gundams. He is currently into building computers and overclocking. Generation Otaku was initially created on an old Intel P4 computer but has since been upgraded to a Phenom II X4 and now to an Intel i5-2500K. His computer’s name is Haruhi.
