Anime evolution

No, K-ON! did not exist back in the Edo era. Using Mio of K-ON!, this is just a comparison showing the visual “evolution” of anime through the years. I think it is somewhat accurate, especially the 80s and 90s. The 80s are all about the Macross/Robotech type look (see Pineapple’s review) while the 90s went a bit overboard with the eyes. As huge as saucers, it reminds me of Saber Marionette J. If you haven’t seen it, you should. It is a very good anime series.

    However with the 70s, eyes need to have sparkles in them. Face needs to be slightly skinnier and longer. Otherwise all seem about right. lol

    Oh god, I don’t believe I can actually recognize some of them -_-’

    Then again, anime from back in the day had such story telling qualities about them.

    man the 80′s pic is a whole lot better than any of them on my opinion XD
