You have probably seen this a couple times either on anime, manga or movie/dramas. On New Year’s day, folks in Japan visit temples to write on their wishes on small wooden blocks (“ema”). Otakus visit the temples too, and when they do, they kick things up a notch by adding anime characters.
Ita-ema started showing up back in 2009, totalling 8 ita-emas. The following year it went up to 14 and this year we got as much as 40 ita-emas. Even some famous game artists and mangakas have added their own ita-emas.

Nice!!! want to try that also…
Goes without saying the Otaku are wishing for a girlfriend and maybe a life in the new year. Interesting look into Japan’s parasaito shinguru.
thats says, it is human nature to find for a partner, no matter how indulge they are in their interests
