Okay, we know the Japanese have lots of issues with “transforming” their faces and bodies. They do make up that make their eyes as creepy as hell (anime/manga style) and sometimes they just wear the whole body costume.
This, however, takes the cake of (perhaps) stupidity or just plain strangeness.
Nope, they don’t have progressed brain tumor or anything like that. These people just ask their professional piercers to inject saline into their heads and mold their massive swelling into the shape of their choosing. Logically, of course these shapes have to be bagels!
The most popular spots for injection are the head and arms. Although some also create bumps in their butts……and some have scrotal infusions as well….
Luckily for them, the bumps on their heads only last for 24 hr. Possible side effects include headache, infection, and stretched kin.
This, however, is just the icing on the cake. Some more extreme body modifications include ear pointing, navel removal (where you remove your belly button) , amputation, Japanese traditional body suit tattoos.
Why do they do this, you ask? Hm………….I don’t know. Although Ryoichi “Keroppy” Maeda, the guy who brought this whole trend into Japan said “Well, you know, people who like extreme body modification want to find their own way of doing things, and they’re always looking for new ways to do that. The more progressive the scene gets, the more these people have to experiment and go their own way.”
