Maka Albarn

Good folks at Tsume Art sent some info about their new high quality Maka Albarn figure due in February or March. Called “Maka’s Faith“, this is the first Soul Eater character to enter their HQS collection. The scene was taken from episode 7 of the anime series where Maka enters the church to fight Crona.

Going over some technical details, this is a 1/8 figure, standing at 45 cms tall and 29 cms in length. And check out the weight, it weighs 3.5 kg! The details are really nice especially the glass windows and Maka’s scythe (Soul). Maka herself lacks a some details though, I think the hair and the cape could use better detailing so I hope Tsume Art puts that into consideration for future releases.

I agree about the hair not having a good texture to but who knows if this is a wax casting or low res prototyping in plaster.

    Hi,

thank you for your interest ! These photos are indeed shot on the prototype, the final product should be neater. May I add this is a polystone resin statue and not a PVC figure so the rendering will be probably differ.

Of course, I can only hope one day we can come to overseas fairs so not only the european fans can see in real the product before buying it ! :)

In real, with good lightning, the result is really stunning, let me assure you. The cape especially gets some space and is like moved by the wind.
